Waitlist Instructions

At Happy Day Childcare & Preschool, we maintain a small group size to ensure high-quality, personalized care. As a result, we operate our enrollment matching through a waiting list.

Important Note: To make sure you receive our open-spot alerts and waitlist updates, please add our email address, happydaychildcare1@gmail.com to your contact list or safe senders list so we don’t accidentally end up in your junk folder!

How It Works:
Families can add themselves to our waitlist at any time. Rather than a straight line, childcare schedules are like a puzzle. When a spot opens up, we look specifically for a child who fits that classroom's age limit and matches the exact days of the week available. We offer these spots chronologically based on your original application date.

Quick Response Required:
Once a matching spot is found and you are contacted, you will have until the end of the next business day to respond to our email or text. If we do not hear back within that timeframe, the spot will be offered to the next family on the list.

Next Steps:
If you respond in time, we will schedule a family interview to get to know each other and determine if Happy Day is the perfect fit for your child.

Important Notice Regarding Timelines:
Because enrollment depends entirely on when current families leave or change their schedules, wait times are constantly shifting. Depending on your child's age group and the specific days of the week you need, the wait time can realistically range anywhere from 3 months to over a year.

To keep our active records fair and accurate, our system automatically removes profiles that have not been updated or confirmed within the last 6 months.
